Early Venture Work

Josh's early venture work includes Mambu, a fintech unicorn now valued at $5.5 billion.

Mambu began as Josh's Carnegie Mellon thesis project to expand financial access in emerging markets. He led design on a multidisciplinary team, conducting field research with African microfinance institutions. The work later grew into one of the world's leading fintech platforms.

Josh's public service spans from his foundational AmeriCorps work to ongoing partnerships with mission-driven orgs.

AmeriCorps

Josh completed a year of service with City Year Detroit, an AmeriCorps organization. His work included coordinating logistics, supporting classroom instruction, leading after-school programs, and helping build housing in underserved communities.
